Oil on Paper, Paintings, Montreal, 2002-2004
Between 2002 and 2004, I began experimenting with painting directly on paper with oil paints. Most of the work focused on Portraits, Figurative and Landscapes. Some such as the Parc LaFontaine Series were preliminary sketches for a series ( of the same name) of large canvases measuring 8′ x 2′. The series was inspired during my visits to Parc La Fontaine, a 34 ha (84 acres) urban park located in the borough of Le Plateau-Mont-Royal in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
